Day 1 Arrive New Delhi

On Arrival, be meet and assisted by a Secrets of India représentative, who will assist you to Check in at the hotel. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi

Today, you will proceed for a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. This fascinating city has been in existence since the 6th century BC and has seen ups and downs from the rule of the Pandavas right up to the British Raj. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. The courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers. Enjoy a rickshaw ride in ChandniChowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi…noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian. Drive past Red Fort, President House, India Gate and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyen’s modern Delhi before you head to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Thereafter, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife HamidaBanu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 3 : Delhi/Agra.(180kms/ 4hrs)

Day 4 : Agra

Today, take a day tour of Agra, which is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi, but flourished later under the Mughal Empire. Visit the Red Fort, which was commissioned in 1565 by Akbar, and subsequently embellished by other Mughal Emperors. The beautiful yet forbidding structure houses many exquisite palaces, and is a handsome example of Mughal architecture. You will visit the TajMahal at sunrise…a mausoleum built as a symbol Emperor Shah Jehan’s devotion to his beloved queen MumtazMahal. Considered an architectural marvel, its construction took thousands of workers over 21 years to complete. Post your visit of Taj you will Learn More the Red Fort of Agra, which was commissioned in 1565 by Akbar, and subsequently embellished by other Mughal Emperors. Shah Jahan, a great builder, raised exquisite white marble palaces here. Thereafter, visit Itmad- Ud – Daula, known as the “Baby Taj”; this mausoleum rests in a walled garden close to the Yamuna River, and is looked upon as a precursor of the TajMahal as far as elaborate carvings and inlay work are concerned. Day 05 :Agra - Orcha

Today early morning, you will take the train to Jhansi, on arrival in Jhansi you will by road leave for Orcha. . Orcha is is steeped in history and is famous for its palaces and temples built in the 16th and 17th centuries. The main attraction is the Orchha fort complex. A four-arched bridge leads to the fort complex on the island. The Jahangir Mahal in the fort is known for its delicate work on one hand and balanced with strong masonry on the other. Raj Mahal, the second palace in this fort complex is well known for its murals, depicting religious themes. In the evening, visit the Raja Ram Temple, formerly a palace. According to legend, Lord Ram appeared in dream of the then ruler Madhukar Shah, who subsequently brought an idol of Lord Ram and placed it in this palace. The idol refused to move from there to the temple, so the palace became a temple, and Lord Ram is worshipped here as a king. Over night in Orcha

Day 06: Orcha - Khajuraho (170 Kms / 5 Hrs)

Today you will leave for Khajuraho. On arrival enjoy sightseeing of Khajuraho. The beautiful temples that dot the town of Khajuraho are highly sensual and erotic and much has already been discussed their symbolic importance. Visit the Western Group of Temples -the KandariyaMahadeo is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the largest of Khajuraho’s temples. The Lakshmana Temple is one of the oldest and finest of the western group of temples. The temple of Devi Jagdamba is considered by many to be one of the most erotic temples of Khajuraho. It houses Khajuraho’s most talked-about images of mithuna, the sensuously carved figures. Later, visit the Eastern Group of Temples- The temple of Parsvanath is the largest of the Jain temples in Khajuraho India and the finest…without any sexual motifs. Overnight in Khajuraho

Day 07: Khajuraho – Varanasi. (By Flight)

This morning, you will head to the airport to catch your flight to Varanasi. The ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the River Ganges is considered the holiest city for Hindu pilgrims. Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges at Varanasi will remit their sins. It is also considered a holy city for Buddhists, believed to have been designated a pilgrimage site by Gautama Buddha himself. A city of temples, art, literature and education, the atmosphere in Varanasi is completely unique.You will have free time to walk and discover by yourself this holy city. Here every evening, a prayer ceremony is performed amidst pealing bells and hundreds of pilgrims. The sunset ceremony is truly a sight to behold! Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 07: Varanasi

Early this morning you will leave for a boat ride on the Ganges. This enthralling experience will allow you to witness people offering their prayers, professional washer men doing the laundry as well people waking up to do their daily chores. Later visit Sarnath, which is famous as the place where the Buddha first preached his message after attaining nirvana. Visit the Sarnath Archaeological Museum, where the original piece is displayed. The dilapidated remains of the ChoukhandiStupa can be seen in Sarnath. Standing on a terraced rectangular plinth, the Stupa is capped by an incongruous octagonal Mughal tower built by Emperor Akbar to commemorate his father’s visit to the place. Over night in Varanasi

Day 8 : Varanasi/ Kolkata( by flight)

This morning you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to the holy city of Kolkata. Overnight in Kolkata.

Day 9 : Kolkata

Today, enjoy sightseeing of Kolkata. Visit the Victoria Memorial, a splendid architectural structure in white marble, modeled on the TajMahal. The building creates an atmosphere of unforgettable colonial charm. Vist the flower market of Kolkat and enjoy hand pulled rickshaw ride. Drive to the Howrah Bridge, Popularly known as the RabindraSetu, Howrah Bridge is an engineering marvel and is counted amongst the busiest cantilever bridges in the world. Later, visit Mother Teresa’s Ashram. It was formed to help all those people who are sick, poor, needy and have been discarded by society. Day 10 : Kolkata/Puri ( By flight)

This morning you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Bhubaneshwar. Transfer and check in to your hotel. Day at leisure.Overnight in Puri.

Day 11 : Puri

This morning you will visit the Konarak temple. The Sun temple at Konark is magnificent example of Orissan architecture. You will get the opportunity to visit the Jagannath temple, this temple which is famous for its annual chariot festival during which the main temple deities are hauled on decorated chariots.You will be free to unwind yourself on the beaches of Puri, famous for sand sculptures made by world-renowned artists and spectacular sunsets. Day 12 :Puri/ Bhubaneshwar( 70kms/ 1hr 30min)

Today, head back to Bhubaneshwar and you can enjoy relax or Learn More the city on your own. Overnight in Bhubaneshwar.

Day 13 : Bhubaneshwar

One of the oldest temples (late 8th century), its striking feature is the shape of its sanctuary tower. The semi cylindrical shape of its roof, a leading example of khakhara order of temples, bears an affinity to the Dravidian gopuram of the South India temples. Visits of the Temple of Parassuram andMukteshvara. Overnight in Bhubaneshwar.

Day 14 :Bhubaneshwar/ Kolkata( By flight).

This morning, you will head to the airport to take your flight to Kolkata. You will have day at you leisure to relax and unwind in the hotel or buy souvenir for friend and family. Overnight in Kolkata

Day 15 : Kolkata/ Departure

Today, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight back home.
